Alexandra is Austrian/Greek and therefore grew up with the advantage of having two native languages, German and Greek. She studied acting in the UK and is currently living in Athens where she performs, directs plays and also runs her own acting studio. Alexandra has been a voice-over artist for over 20 years and has twice won awards for her acting performances.
Experience
She records in Greek, German and English and sometimes in French for clients who require one voice for all 4 languages, such as for the Olympic Games of 2004 and the Special Olympics 2011 in Athens, the Greek and Cypriot tourist boards, British Airways, Aegean Airlines, airport announcements, Minoan Ferry Lines, mailboxes, as well as announcements in the Athens Tramway.
Her voice is extremely versatile and adaptable.
Alexandra has been the official Vodafone voice in Greek and English for over 13 years. During her long and renowned career she has worked intensively on commercials and corporate videos as well as security instructions, phone messages, IVR and dubbing animated films, such as Pocahontas 1 & 2 as Pocahontas, The Lion King 1 & 2 as Nala, 101 Dalmatians as Anita and in Titan as Akima.
Alexandra grew up in an Austrian-Greek family in Vienna, Berlin and Athens, where she completed the German Abitur and then went on to study theatre in the UK for 6 years.
After returning to Athens she acted in films and was twice given the best actress award for features and shorts; in theatre plays, mainly in Athens but also London, Vienna, Warsaw, Paris, Brussels and on TV, where she led eight TV shows in Greece. She then went on to directing and teaching.
Alexandra’s voice is extremely versatile and adaptable, best suited to commercials (except for hard-sell screaming) and covers a great variety of registers, including soft and sexy, maternal, business-like, educational and caring, professional and cool, and can re-create many characters from funny, hysterical, neurotic to strict teacher-like, and spoiled “stupid” dizzy chick.
Book Alexandra for your commercial, narration, voice-over, dubbing, e-Learning or IVR project and be 100% sure of her skills to perform anything from business, industrial, corporate, mature, cool and fairly neutral to upbeat, playful, maternal, warm, reassuring, sexy, happy, fun, and characters such as the strict teacher, dumb chick, neurotic, nagging housewife, bored operator, humorous, in short, pretty much anything you want.
